• Minimized discomfort – Traditional impressions can be unpleasant, but with ICamBodies, the process is quick, efficient, and far more comfortable.
• Simplified measurements – Only a lip extractor is required. The upper arch requires minimal opening, while the lower arch can be scanned in a natural resting position—unlike intraoral scanners that demand excessive mouth opening.
• One-and-done accuracy – The first scan produces a precise fit, eliminating the need for multiple adjustments.
• Improved final restoration – A perfectly fitting prosthesis enhances comfort and functionality.
• Faster treatment timelines – Early load protocols become more achievable with ICam technology.
Streamlined Workflow for Laboratories
ICam technology simplifies laboratory processes, reducing complexity and manual workload.
Key Advantages:
• No rush to fabricate models – Eliminates the need for gingiva masks and implant analogs.
• No need for scanning intricate implant models – Streamlined digital workflows improve efficiency and accuracy.
Advanced Technology
The ICam is a state-of-the-art handheld scanning device featuring four cameras and a projector. It utilises a combination of photogrammetry and structured light scanning to obtain highly accurate 3D data.
The system incorporates ICamBodies, precisely engineered components with a unique target configuration that enables accurate implant positioning and orientation. Each implant’s measured position is referred to as an ICamPosition. To ensure precision, Imetric routinely provides freshly calibrated ICamBodies.
Additionally, the system includes ICamRefs, which function similarly to healing abutments but offer added efficiency. Healing abutments can be substituted for ICamRefs if needed, but the smaller design of ICamRefs simplifies gingival impression-taking and intraoral scanning. The ICam software then integrates ICamPositions with the gingival scan using ICamRefs, allowing seamless alignment with just a few clicks.
