IPS e.max ZirCAD from Ivoclar Vivadent is ideal for indications that require high strength, such as anterior and posterior bridges. The zirconium oxide material is processed by means of the CAD/CAM technique. The framework is milled to contour approximately 20-25% larger than required and subsequently sintered in a high-temperature furnace. During sintering, the framework shrinks to its final size and obtains its typical, high fracture toughness as a result of the homogeneous structure.
